LiuGong is established in 1958 and develops some of China’s first construction machinery. In 1966, the company’s first modernised wheel loader is launched, the Z435.

LiuGong strikes a deal to use Caterpillar technology in its machines, improving durability and performance. The excavator and roller factories are accelerated.

In 2004, LiuGong establishes its first overseas in division in Australia. The 100,000th wheel loader is produced in 2006, a milestone achievement. Just 4 years later the 200,000th wheel loader is produced.

LiuGong and Cummins announce a joint venture, improving engine performance.

Factories and headquarters are established across the world, including Europe, Brazil and south-east Asia. Technology advancements are continually made, with production of machinery reaching new heights.

For over 60 years, LiuGong has manufactured machines for global construction projects in the toughest environments, from the Sahara desert to the cold tundras of Antarctica.
